Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada

1pm. "Simple living... high thinking," a Hare Krsna monk, touring through from Toronto, explained his path. Their leader, wearing all pink, walked from the East Coast of Canada to the West coast in eight months. He said they tour around to spread this knowledge(Bhakti Yoga) to give people hope. A punk wanted to join with his guitar, but said he didn't know how to keep in tune with them. "It's the devotion behind the performance that is important," the head monk assured the punk. Over and over again they sang their mantra, "Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna Krsna, Hare Hare, Hare Rama, Hare Rama, Rama Rama, Hare Hare." They sang it with a different rhythm and tempo each time, and it was very therapeutic. They gave me their holy book, Bhagavad-gita.

6pm. John, Tom and I went to Minkey Wall to cap off the day in a bliss.
