7pm. Rachelle would only take me to her Worship Hall if I kept my mouth shut and didn't embarrass her. Before going in she gave me the run-down, stating that men would pray for 45 minutes, then a man would read a scripture, then each man would take a turn discussing it. The women are not allowed to say anything, and they must wear a hat, because the Bible says so.
"In every church service I want the men to pray, men who are dedicated to God and can lift up their hands in prayer without anger or argument. I also want the woman to be modest and sensible about their clothes and the dress properly; not with fancy hair styles or with gold ornaments or pearls or expensive dresses, but with good deeds, as it is proper for woman who claim to be religious. Woman should learn in silence and all humility. I do not allow them to teach or to have authority over men; they must keep quiet. For Adam was created first, and then Eve. And it was not Adam who was deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and broke God's law. But woman will be saved through having children, if she perseveres in faith and love and holiness, with modesty." - 1 Timothy 2:8-15
"But I want you to understand that Christ is supreme over every man, the husband is supreme over his wife, and God is supreme over Christ. So a man who prays or proclaims God's message in public worship with his head covered disgraces Christ. And any woman who prays or proclaims God's message in public worship with nothing on her head disgraces her husband; there is no difference between her and a woman whose head has been shaved. If the woman does not cover her head, she might as well cut her hair. And since it is a shameful thing for a woman to shaved her head or cut her hair, she should cover her head. A man has no need to cover his head, because he reflect the image and glory of God. But woman reflects the glory of man; for man was not created from woman, but woman from man. Nor was man created for woman's sake, but woman was created from man's sake. On account of the angels, then, a woman should have a covering over her head to show that she is under her husband's authority." - 1 Corinthians 11:3-10
"The woman should keep quiet in the meetings. They are not allowed to speak: as the Jewish Law says, they must not be in charge. If they want to find out something, they should ask their husband's at home. It is a disgraceful thing for a woman to speak in church." - 1 Corinthians 14:34-35
Thee, thy, thou... the men pray... and they said, "We think of those in business, and we pray for thy hand upon us" and "don't let them go the hell father, though we know we are not worthy of heaven."
On the wall it says, "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." -Romans 6:23
Rachelle said that one of her favorite's is Mark 12:30-31, "Love the Lord with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength. The second most important commandment is this: 'Love your neighbor as you love yourself.' There are no other commandments more important than these two."
