The FAR OUT School Headquarters

"Never doubt that a small group of committed people can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has."
--Margaret Mead, anthropologist

This location, 430 Prince Street, Saint John West, will be the perfect location for The FAR OUT School HQ. Over-looking Reversing Falls gorge on the Saint John River, it allows easy access to launch kayaks, and across the street is a large field for a vegetable garden. The building has eight bedrooms, a workshop, a garage, gallery space, rooms for offices, a media center, a library, a kitchen and dinning hall/concert hall with a fireplace and cathedral ceiling. Look at photos of the inside.

The property is 1.75 Hectares. The plot of land below is owned by the city and could be made into an area perfect for tenting and campfires. The objective is to make a summer camp in the city, through which we can better educate outselves, get to know our neighbors, create a sustainable community and organize opportunities to experience educational adventures in other parts of the world.

These boys had never been to a bonfire before visiting the Gypsy Camp, the current FAR OUT HQ.

These are photos from a FAR OUT art class taught at the alternative school in St. Andrews. This Mexican art uses string, bee's wax and pine sap(see example below). Here are some I made: #1 & #2.
